Thanks Joe,

Yeah that would be a good test. I'll have to look into that. I'm sure it would be ridiculously strong considering paracord by itself is rated to 550 lbs.

This is awesome, was just browsing Google and found it. Lovin it! :)

Just an idea if you haven't.. mostly because I'm curious, you should test the break strength of the Para-Belt, I bet you'd be able to at least be able to pull a car ;D

Thanks again, just added a new bookmark. :)

[...] A long length of strong cord, such as the cord used in parachutes, can be a lifesaver in any survival situation. Fortunately, several hundred feet of para-cord need not be cumbersome and you can take it with you anywhere by using the cord to construct a functional belt. The how-to website instructables has a step-by-step guide to making your para-cord belt here. Another guide can be found here. [...]

Jimmy,

Good point. I did try the paracord lace but it only "looked right" on my boots. With my job, I mostly wear shoes so I needed a convenient way of wearing paracord without it looking out of place (hence the belt idea).

Can't wait to see the new and improved version. Not a bad idea at all.

You can also lace your shoes/boots with it.

Thanks Lisa,

I think I've got the bug for paracord crafts. Maybe I'll ask my wife how to crochet, I want to make a paracord shirt :) (and guys since it's paracord, no worries -- it's a manly craft).

That's amazing, Erich! What a great concept to have a belt made out of something so useful as paracord.
