LDSAvow.com has recently released its latest version of their fantastic book “The LDS Preparedness Manual” (now in it’s 8th version!).
Quite simply, it’s a collection of fantastic preparedness related articles covering most prepping subjects such as:
- food storage
- communication
- emergency evacuation
- heating, cooking, and lighting
- clothing and shelter
- defense
- and much more…
I figured I’d send this link out as a belated Christmas present for you guys. It’s a fantastic read and highly recommended!

Are you guys allowing enough time to download it? I tried it on multiple computers without any issue.

Looks like they’ve updated the manual. I had not problem downloading using google chrome. Took a few minutes to come up on the screen but no problems saving to my computer.
We have never been able to determine WHY some people are able to download our manual with NO problems and why others have nothing but problems. Because of that we offer 3 different download options, usually one of them works for everyone. As a last resort we will happily send it directly to you as an e-mail attachment, or you can buy one of the hardbound versions if you want it on paper.

Sorry, just having a little fun with all the PC folks out there : )
I’ve been impressed with what the LDS teach re preparation -even when it wasn’t popular.
Funny thing is, I grew up with 3-6 months of food and supplies… My parents that came out of the farming era, lived through the depression and WWII; EVERYONE had 3-6 months of food and supplies… “Seed time and harvest” It’s just how things used to be done.

if it isnt working, try right clicking the second link and click save link as… then save as a pdf. worked for me, even with chrome
Downloaded fine… It’s in PDF format. Just over 9meg

It won’t let you right click and save and when it tries to open the pdf my browser freezes up … tried a dozen times and it gets old.
